Underground Cole Valley's Overhead Wires!
Interested in seeing the ugly (and dangerous) overhead utility wires
undergrounded in Cole Valley? Send an email with your contact information, and you'll be sent a petition to the SF Department of Public Works designed to have DPW put Cole Valley on the short list for upcoming neighborhoods to be undergrounded. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is also reviewing its undergrounding rules in the year 2000, and so this is also the year to communicate with your state legislators on undergrounding.
The overhead wires are ugly, and can be dangerous in fires/earthquakes/
windstorms. Let's let our state and city officials know that we want the wires down
soon.
